Behind this wonderful venture is Mandy McLoughlin, a multi-talented mum and business owner based in Barnsley. Frankie & Sidney isn't just about felt kits; it's about empowering you to find joy in the simple, mindful process of making.

In 2016, Mandy McLoughlin, the founder of Frankie and Sidney, embarked on a journey across the nation with her beloved campervan, affectionately named 'Pegi'. While on the road, she sought a portable and fun hobby that didn't require much space. She turned to needle-felting after her husband, Mick, wouldn't let her bring her sewing machine.

Mandy taught herself various needle-felting techniques, mastering the craft as she traveled. Friends, family, and people she met were so impressed with her creations that they encouraged her to share her skills. With a long-held passion for design, Mandy saw an opportunity to create her own unique needle-felting kits, putting her own spin on the common kits found in craft shops. The incredible response she received led her to launch Frankie and Sidney six months later, pouring all her energy into the new venture.

Mandy loves sharing her passion for needle-felting, showing others just how easy and fun it is. She regularly holds workshops and events to introduce the craft to a wider audience and also appeared on the Create and Craft.
