The Spellbinders Butterfly Silhouettes Registration Press Plate & Die Set is a stunning part of the Wildflowers Collection by Lisa Horton. This collection is designed to send warm expressions of good wishes and celebrations through lovely florals and thoughtful sentiments.
This ingenious set provides everything needed to create two gorgeous, multi-colour butterflies.
The four butterfly plates impress two distinct designs, a front profile and a side profile, each combining a silhouette and a detailed design for a layered, textured look. The set also includes two additional plates: the bold word 'Love' and four supporting sentiments (Sending, Your Way, Best Wishes, and With Lots of).
Multi-Color Letterpress Made Easy
The Registration Press Plate sets make creating stunning multi-colour letterpress designs simple and foolproof! The innovative Mylar Registration Template allows you to accurately layer beautiful colours onto your BetterPress paper for a flawless, vibrant effect.
The Wildflowers Collection template can be downloaded to help with placement.
Using the Registration Template (One Colour = One Layer):
- Template Setup: Tape the Registration Template to the Magnetic Insert on the Chase.
- Plate Alignment: Line up the first set of Coordinating Plate(s) to the Registration Template.
- Ink & Press: Ink the Plate(s) with your first colour and run the Chase through the Die-Cutting Machine.
- Repeat: Remove the pressed Plate(s). Place the next set of Plate(s) according to the colour template, and repeat the inking and pressing steps until the design is complete.
Standard BetterPress Process
Achieve crisp, professional results by inking the plates with BetterPress Ink and pressing them against BetterPress Cotton Card Panel and Sheets using your manual die-cutting machine.
Four Easy Steps:
- Place Plate: Place the BetterPress Press Plate onto the Chase (the magnetic platform).
- Tape Panel: Tape your Card Panel onto the Platen (the clear top plate with registration marks).
- Apply Ink: Apply Ink onto the Press Plate.
- Make Sandwich: Make the Letterpress Sandwich and run it through your manual die-cutting machine.
